Timorese Boy's New Heart Is 'A Dream Come True'

By Neville D'Cruz

MELBOURNE, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- A gravely ill 11-year-old Timore Leste boy is looking forward to normal life after a life-saving heart procedure here last week.

East Timor Hearts Fund (ETHF), a community-based medical aid organisation, flew Jeca Periera here for treatment after his critical mitral stenosis (narrowed heart valve) was confirmed by its volunteer medical team at a screening clinic in Dili last month.
